The game had a very big importance for second-ranked TaiwanesePilots as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pilots defeated 4th placed Macau Macau BB in Taoyuan 104-86 . Pilots dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Macau BB 's 34. They outrebounded Macau BB 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Macau BB 's players. American center Alec Brown (216-1992, college: Green Bay) fired 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Chun-Hsiang Lu chipped in 26 points and 6 assists. Pilots' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Damian Chong-Qui (173-1998, college: PFW) produced 25 points and 7 assists and Maltese center Samuel Deguara (230-1991) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Macau BB at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost.
